2. Provision of the website and hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO. When a website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technical connection and access data. This may include, in particular, the IP address, the date and time of access, the requested file, the volume of data transferred, the access status, browser information and the previously visited page.
The processing serves to deliver the website and to ensure the stability and security of operation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable provision of our website. Where the hosting provider processes data on our behalf, this is done within the framework of a data processing agreement.
The retention of technical log data depends on the hosting product used and its configuration. STRATO describes an anonymisation of client IP addresses or host names in the access log files provided to customers. Further information: Data protection at STRATO and information on STRATO access statistics.
